Originally founded as a purchasing cooperative of Swiss bakers, the food wholesaler Pistor supplies not only bakeries and confectioneries but also catering businesses today. Still, one thing has remained the same: Pistor’s customers are also the owners of the company, hence the very highly customer- and service-oriented transport logistics. Essential aspects in their business are customer-driver loyalty, orders placed the day before, the joint transport of products requiring three distinct temperature zones, and the consideration of individual customer needs.

Pistor AG supplies German-speaking Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein right from the company’s headquarters in Rothenburg. French-speaking Switzerland is served by a distribution center in Chavornay. Every year, around 100,000 tons of goods are shipped to bakers and confectioners, restaurants and canteens in more than 320,000 shipments.
